Academics Overview

Teachers in WDMCS work together to help students learn. In junior high, the schools are organized into teams. Each school is like a smaller community with a group of students and teachers working together. This helps teachers support students as they move from elementary to high school.

Students can choose between two ways of learning for their main classes: 1) a way that involves projects or 2) a more traditional way. In the project-based learning, students focus on skills like writing, speaking, teamwork, taking charge, and understanding the subject. These skills are important for success in college and future careers.
